I work in Ann Arbor. My Southfield church (i.e., Hope UMC) was having Ash Wednesday service today at noon. Knowing that I could not zip from Ann Arbor to Southfield and back in the course of my lunch hour, I Googled the Ann Arbor area -- looking for a place of noon-time worship. Every location that I found and called was scheduled for an evening Ash Wednesday service: bummer! Then, I happened across Dixboro UMC; I called and confirmed the time; jumped in my car zipped over to the church, and was able to participate in personal Prayer and Contemplation all within 45 minutes! The experience was so refreshing; I loved the use of "stations" and personal time to meditate.... I do plan on visiting again -- next time with my family in tow. Thank you, Pastor Tonya, et al. : )
