I recently took a five week Introductory Mindful Meditation course at the Zen Buddhist Temple in Ann Arbor.  I had a very positive experience and enjoyed learning various meditation positions and techniques, in addition to mindfulness practice.  It was an experience that allowed me the opportunity to incorporate focus and quiet contentment into my daily routine.  We were able as a group to share our personal experiences with meditation, learning from each other, while gaining a deeper understanding of remaining in the present.  The teacher was wonderful. I would definitely recommend the course for anyone.

Very inclusive of all, spiritually healing temple. Meditation was perfect. Although I have always meditated, it was my first experience at the temple and on Buddha's Birthday of all days! The chants are easy to pick up (they have a paper with the chants printed to help). Would definitely recommend. Important to note, it is NOT in the yellow house shown, but the brick building to the left!! I walked in some poor girls apartment (sorry!)

A great place to take the meditation course or yoga classes. If you are experiencing a difficult time/ life event, this is a good place to come to for "centering"one's self.Someone wrote an earlier review and was somewhat concerned for the request of a donation at the services. The Zen Buddhist Temple runs on donations from first time visitors, to members new and old alike. No one is ever denied attendance at the morning or afternoon services on Sunday, for inability to leave a donation. All Christian Churches pass a basket during services for donations to be placed in.The Zen Temple greatly appreciates all donations, but is aware that in this day and age

I love the garden, the temple space, and the people. Great way to learn about or deepen Buddhist practice, or simply meditate and socialize.

some may be unable to leave a donation. I cannot emphasize enough the welcoming of all at the ZBT. Its' members are a very diverse group. The two residential priests are available for interviews to discuss your practice and to help you with your practice if you are struggling to keeping it steady, and daily, or are experiencing other issues that are problematic for maintaining

A warm welcoming to all, whether it be your first time at the Temple, or you have been a member for many years. A wonderful spiritual atmosphere.

a consistent practice. Members participate in a variety of programs, work days, retreats, classes, community service and events and special services.

Great place to learn and practice meditation.
