My home for three years on campus! Depending on your hall, the community could be either very close or not even know each other. Food has improved but the room quality is still mediocre. Many windows are not airtight.
Very close knit community. Decent food. Great location for engineering and art students
Even though they recently renovated the dining hall, the food really isn't that great still. Most of the time I'm still headed for the salad bar just like I did during the summer before the renovation. The housing is seriously outdated and the hallways remind me of some horror movie because they feel so dark and depressing. As a former worker for Bursley dining I can say that at least half of the managers are rude as hell and it always seemed like I was being talked to like I didn't know how to do my job or that I was just plain stupid. It's even worse for employees that can't speak English because the managers are white and usually older males that mistreat them a lot. There are a lot of instances where a lack of understanding results in the minority getting yelled at and it's just not right.
Convenient for those who take classes on north campus. Recent dining hall renovation make it a great place to eat as well
Convenient location for people with mostly classes on north campus. Right next to gym and bus stop to central. Convenient to have a dining hall that has continuous hours (does not close between meal times). It's nice to be able to go to classes on North Campus and to quickly be able to go back to your room.
