Nichola's Books and Seva and Zingerman's Roadhouse are Ann Arbor institutions. Parking can be a challenge at busy times. Also the location of the Ann Arbor West Library Branch, a beautiful location to hang out for an afternoon.
Overall, my "go to" for gift buying convenience in Ann Arbor.
This place is fine for basic shopping needs, it houses Nicolas bookstore and Ann Arbors newest public library. With a couple.of coffee shops to choose from , a Hallmark gift store, and a learning express this is a fine outdoor access mall for families. The parking lot however, does not accommodate the demands of shoppers, and you may find that panhandling is not uncommon in it. I've often been approached with my children by a man asking for money for a cause that isn't legitimate.
I really like this strip mall. A great mix of stores from used sports equipment, clothing, a really good used children's clothing store, Hallmark, Barry's Bagel's, Thai food& a middle eastern bakery & coffee shop, UPS & more. Can't pass up mentioning a wonderful library branch of the Ann Arbor District Library. This shopping center provides a solid group of stores for the west part of town.
There is a lot going on here. I just want to plug the Westgate branch of the Public Library. It's a very nice place.
Barry's Bagels! Fantastic bagels and the nicest staff I've met in some time. Ordered bagels and coffee for a community service project and they were ready early and everything was perfect! Highly recommend this place, the bagels will make your day.
